3 straight days of just rain.
I’ve been making food, watching airplane videos and reading my book. At this rate I’m cancelling Sunny Beach summer 2023.
So many cancelled events and fun things I had planned to do. It’s not even gentle rain where you can go outside with a rain jacket and walk around….this is serious super headache-gloomy Vancouver rain that just won’t fucking stop.
At least it’s warm and I still have loads of fun food in the fridge.
I can’t even go outside to make a stupid YouTube video, I’ll die and the GoPro will electrify.
You know what works???

It’s summer. Today’s country harvest.
I am finding myself really buying different things from different shops. LIDL tomorrow.
This was yesterday’s country harvest.
I’m building rapport with my local veggie shops. They let me try stuff, tell me what’s fresh and what is sweet. Everyone except the veggie shop nearby takes contactless payments……sadly I stopped going there, I’m not taking out cash to buy green onions and peaches.

Check out the little cat family. I remember when Sto was the size of that tiny Calico on the left. Today she could eat a whole Trabant if it was made of gently grilled chicken. Oh Sto.
Mid-weekend, finally. Everyone is relaxing.
It’s nice to get away from the stresses of everyday life.
It took less than an hour of stressful shopping to find a matching cat for the bag.
Luck is on my side today.
Manitoba is looking good.
The garbage ladies are out in full force trying to tidy up the hood’.
But still……garbage everywhere…fucking shitty. Fighting “lack of culture” is hard.
It smells so nice here after a rain.
Amazon brought me a highly advanced beach bag yesterday. Showcasing it today for the locals.
It’s lighter than a kaiser bun (even with sesame seeds) and folds into one, too. Literally fits into my pocket. It was needlessly overpriced but has a lifetime warranty and appears to be very well made. One pocket for my AirPods, the other for my book and a small morning gin. Don’t need anything more than that otherwise shit just gets lost.
It appears I’m back in the alco-ditch again but I’m allowing myself 100ml or less (2 shots a day). Just a small morning gin-based beach buzz…. THAT’S IT.
Zero beer, zero wine.
Also. I would never really buy this weird camo design but I actually like it. “Funouflage”…..get it FUN CAMOUFLAGE….I should be on Letterman.

Today is a crazy busy day…..I have to find some cool cat and Sunny Beach flair for the new bag. It currently looks so sad and nude.
OK OK…it’s sleep time…
I made a very traditional Northern Eastern sweet onion dish.
7 small Bulgarian onions, super sweet, sauteed for 2 hours in my Crock-Pot…then added tiny bit of butter and a BBQ chicken leg….more sauteeing for 2 hours where the chicken mostly melts in the butter and among the onions.
Served in a traditional 13th century Calico mug and small wooden spoon. So delicious.
