I have clamps for my 825. I will set them up tomorrow and clamp some shit.

I have done 430 tasks in the last 4 days. New campervan lock installed.

I love the way potatoes make me feel.

So, I will use 2 solar controllers for the van. The big panel is coming on Tuesday.

The x220 is a wonderful beast.

In place of the WLAN card I will put in the world’s cheapest 256GB SSD (the laptop has an internal M.2 slot) AND I will keep the old school drive (Seagate 500GB) for notoriety and use it for something else…probably DOS/Windows 3.1. I must to continue tomorrow, need more spray air and cleaning booze, the keyboard will probably take 2 hours to clean tomorrow. I have time….Bahhhhh…

Thankfully nothing is missing or broken. It’s in perfect shape, just spent too much time in a dirty home.

..and of course he was SUPER cool. He’s from Germany and we talked about Sunny and computers (he runs this super fancy online business). He is planning on retiring here shortly. We are hanging out again this weekend.

HAPPY 40th Anniversary, DOS.

Today is a big party day. It’s the 40th anniversarry of MS DOS. Also, my holy grail of vintage Thinkpads arrived today. The X220 is the last of the “good” Thinkpads with the amazing keyboards, the thinklight and durability. It arrived super crumbly and dusty but I will, of course, take her apart down to the last screw and scrub her beautifully with a toothbrush and spray air. YAY.
