My new Bulgarian Elka 160 arrived today from Veliko Tarnovo.

40 years old and in almost mint condition. I took it apart to clean her up and look for any bad solder joints. Almost indistinguishable from new. Needed nothing but a quick wipe of the front keypad. This is just so cool. I made a video that I will post a little later.

This is the Pravetz 8c.

It’s a Bulgarian made Apple II clone. It has the Bulgarian 1MHz CM630 Processor, an equivalent of the Rockwell 6502. It has 128kB RAM and 16kB ROM. This is just a photo I found but how fucking cool is this. A lot of Western tech was stolen and copied from the commies back in the days. I love this shit!!

Brand new (just on the market) Honda 350RS, considerably more sensible than anything else I’ve been looking at. This one I would buy new, they are super affordable. Cool Bulgaria long distance cruising and exploring bike with great fuel efficiency, quality and it just looks soooo fucking dope!!

My tiny homelab remains tiny but it’s growing.

Picked up another small Ethernet segment from the Sunny Beach computer shop – which is fucking amazing by the way!! Their service department is extensive and everything is fancy and new. They mostly focus on POS machines from hotels and restaurant. Cool stuff, especially hearing the Windows XP startup chime (lots of point of sale stuff still runs on XP and XP embedded).
