A boot story everyone deserves to read.

So I bought my original bike boots about 3 years ago and they are pretty much the best boots on the planet. I loved them so much that I ended up using them as just “regular” boots for my urban hiking missions all over Europe, especially when it was cold out. They keep my feet warm and are super comfy. On the bike, they are impossible to beat, super perfect fit and the way the sole and top of the boot are designed make shifting a breeze (and they have this extra layer of leather to protect the boots and my toe from “clutch foot”). About a year ago the back of the boot started to crack apart (not really a huge deal, I put 5000k on them) so I contacted the seller through Amazon (of course, you should ONLY shop at Amazon) and asked for repair advice. They just fucking refunded my money, including shipping (even after 2 years). Great.

However the boots were still fine and I wore them for another year……but now the zipper broke.

I will get the zipper replaced BUT I just recently found out..there is a FUCKIN’ burgundy version of them now…..they are coming next week.

This is what Easter is all about. Thank you Jesus.

Here is a photo of what they look like.

So, it’s Canadian Easter..

…this weekend….and Orthodox Easter next weekend. They didn’t have email or cellphones or cloud based collaboration tools then so they weren’t able to decide on the exact date of this fairytale nonsense.

Looks like another made up party next weekend – I love ALL parties and I will visit Nesebar. The weather should actually be OK!!!!!!

Did you know…

…that removing the dairy from a FOF, you are pretty much removing %100 of the calories, too.

I ask for no cheese and no sauce, extra pickles. No other McDonald’s on earth when it comes to FOF tastes as good at these patties – not sure why..they are crispy and super hot and flavorful as fuck!!!!

3 meat weekend dinner.

Sirloin LIDL steak that I continue to love. I think for the money (20 leva) it’s one of Bulgaria’s greatest bargains. Just grill on a wok with salt and pepper, flip once, melts in your mouth. Found some Janet’s prawns and made an egg onion salad with a few flakes of smoked mackerel. Everyone wins. The fish, the crustaceans, and the cows.

A little citrus for desert.

It’s GOOD FRIDAY and I’m ready to party.

I think the fake holiday start today, even in Bulgaria. Good Friday is a bank holiday and in the catholic church in particular it’s a huge day to party!!! “christ sacrificed his flesh then let thy eat christ’s bloody flesh all day with joy and exuberance”.

I am thinking of making chili, too. Stay tuned for photos!!

Here’s hoping for a KFC.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to just walk across the street to grab a 3 piece and gravy meal. That would be heaven on earth.

Is it possible that I am cold-sick?

I haven’t had a cold or a flu in a better part of a decade, at least nothing serious outside of a stomach bug (VERY BAD) in Vietnam many years ago and my Covid thing that lasted barely a day.

But since the last trip (and I’ve been on trains/busses/restaurants) and talking with probably 100+ people…shopping and museums and having wine….maybe my body is stressed to da max. I have been sneezing and not really feelin’ “it”.

Maybe it’s because I haven’t been wearing my slippers?
