They are so fucking nice here, drives me up the wall!!!
It always smells so nice here and it’s ALWAYS so clean, you could not find a mosquito leg anywhere. Just hospital level spotless.

I’m switching from semi synthetic BMW oil to fully synthetic (5-40). BMW stuff is stupidly overpriced and actually hard to obtain outside the costly dealer (something like 50Leva/liter for semi, they can suck a dick). The shop in Plovdiv that sent this to me is extremely inexpensive, super professional (western style everything) and shipped stuff to me FOR FREE in less than a day. Fuck yeah.
You just wait till my KN filter comes from Germany…but that will be a whole other post.

I’m back on the wagon (but only one for the day). Got an afternoon cider and a beach donair. Still can’t leave on my trip – awaiting email from my tour guide. Everything is so complicated right now…I’ve been packed since Sunday. Ugh…why is life so complicated?

Many people don’t know this but I am actually a very famous recipe maker mainly focused on gourmet meals and high end ingredients. My focus has always been pork ears due to their decadence and rarity. Below is a recipe that gained me second place (bronze) and the Zurich chef’s convention in 1991. I remember it like yesterday and still get shivers when I recollect that glorious almost win. Naturally, this was before cameras and smartphones and unfortunately no photos exist from this affair.
I have recreated it today and it’s exactly as I remember it. Absolutely delicious..
(don’t forget a dash of basil flavored olive oil).
Socks and shoes/boots season in just a few weeks…
I wore socks for the 1st time in months just yesterday…..what a strange feeling…. I love wearing my boots, they look super cool and I’m way more at ease on the bike..

…my 1st bottle of red wine in about 4+ months. I also brought alcohol home (paid the 20Leva fine). The wine was OK, I only had a bit…and my bread bowl med-salad was exactly what I wanted….super day today…
Birdie is very disappointed with the booze in the house….I really wish the wine was tastier….it’s really not good wine.

From the deli at the grocery store in Vlas…the absolute cheapest food I could find..we’re talking fucking grilled liver, carrots, pickles and a piece of chicken..some veggies, 3 dolmades and a tiny ginger ale…all this shit…about $5 worth of food (think about it..add it up…yes..about $5) costs 30 Leva here today…
I ate this in one sitting…..I sat here for an hour…and it was just a regular lunch….as opposite of fancy as you can get..literally OPPOSITE.

..that Bulgaria has been at war with the fucking russians for decades. A war doesn’t have to be russians raping women, tanks and shooting at each other.

Additionally, putin is allowing around 500-600 young russian men to die EVERY SINGLE DAY for no reason at all, for a war that is impossible for them to win. I met a guy yesterday who said “I fucking love putin, he’s sending russians to their grave, the less of them, the safer the world”….oyyy.
What’s more concerning is the smart/educated/rich ones, 100,000s (perhaps more than a million) of thousands of them…the people the country needs the most..have moved to the modern world over the last few years….oyyy…
