April 2009

Fantastic night, holy shit.

The place was packed.

Elementary Particles = Ending Track.

I came down and got what I needed.

my name is evan. i make sounds. rivers of music ancient & delicate flow through me.” = YES

I would like to have this phone pretty please.

The battery on my 8 month old iPhone is now down to just a few hours and needs a couple of charges per day, even under moderate use. The home button needs to be pressed a few times to register and even after doing a complete restore a few weeks ago and re-installing my apps, it’s running slower than ever. I can’t figure it out, the camera is uselessly slow as well. This thing works great with just a few programs installed and a handful of pictures in the camera roll but anything more just turns it into molases. As soon as I sync my contact list and calendar it becomes almost unuseable.

I’ve said this before and the Palm Pre seems to be the only contender to the Jesus phone…..at the moment.

BLUETECH tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Finally it is here- the eagerly awaited third Bluetech album on Aleph Zero- The Divine Invasion. Three years in the making, The Divine Invasion offers an irresistible mix of spacey dubby beats, dreamy atmospheres and unique compositions. The same irresistible mix that made the New York Times label Bluetech as ‘one of the best ambient artists’ following the release of his previous album- Sines and Singularities.

In The Divine Invasion, Bluetech, a master of downtempo electronica, goes deeper and farther into new uncharted territories. From his distinct mellow oceanic ambience, emerge playful complex sound games and subtle yet sweeping currents of emotion, amalgamating into wordless songs. Bluetech is a master in the art of creating danceable music full of ambience and ambient music that makes you dance, as The Divine Invasion perfectly proves. ”

Please, for the love of God if you own a laptop take care of it. These things are extremely fragile, even a drop of 10cm can damage the screen and crash the hard drive.

If you are planning on dropping the computer, please do so when the machine is turned off (this parks the Hard Drive), replacing a laptop is dirt cheap, retrieving your data can easily cost $1000s++.

Don’t forget to backup your shit……….Thank You.

Hot and sunny here.

Feels like 30 degrees, sunny and hot. Downtown Vancouver is packed full of smiley, happy people. A patio and a fancy beer sounds like a good idea right now.

I think the whole city took a day off today.
