Smitten bu Simit (or “koulouri” as it is known in Greece)

I know this is about my fourth post about this delight but I simply CANNOT get enough of this stuff.  How can such a simple baked good be so delectable?

In Greece, koulori is made from whole wheat bread (it’s made from white bread in Turkey) and the crust is a bit thicker and much sweeter (must be all that butter), the inside a tiny bit chewier and they really don’t skimp on the crispy sesame seeds.

It’s 11AM and I’ve already had my cold frappe and ate two of these Jesusy delights.

Today, I might have one every hour, on the hour.  WHY NOT??????
